If you are visiting Burgundy you are probably interested in wine. If you are interested in wine you will want to visit Puligny Montrachet. Even better, why not stay in Puligny Montrachet? It is a lovely village. If you want to stay then Le Chevalier is the perfect place. You can see the details for yourself on the website but it is a lovely, comfortable house with all the amenities one could wish for. The location is ideal-walk to the boulangerie across the square for breakfast croissants and enjoy them outside on the terrace at Le Chevalier with some fine coffee. In the evenings, you could choose to stay in and dine in comfort or stroll across the square to La Maison de Olivier LeFlaive for fine dining and fine wine, or two minutes down the road to Michelin starred Le Montrachet etc. If you enjoy wine then you won't want to drive, which is handy here as you can walk everywhere - we enjoyed walks around the vineyards and wine tasting in the village. If wine's not your thing then there are lovely day trips to Beaune and to various chateaux. Highly recommended - I might like to live here if only I could speak French!

A Beautifully Appointed Home Away from Home in a Little French Village
We have just had a wonderful one week stay in Le Chevalier in the lovely little village of Puligny Montrachet in Burgundy and we loved every minute of it. Le Chevalier is one of the best self contained accommodations we’ve stayed in and we congratulate the owners on a marvellous renovation of this very old traditional house. On four levels with three bedrooms, fully equipped modern kitchen, in which we cooked many lovely meals using the local produce, three bathrooms, sitting room, a very well set up laundry as well as an outside terrace complete with BBQ and table setting. Parking was easy as there are many spaces around the tree lined square opposite the house. Everything you need for your stay in the vineyards. We were only a couple but this house would very easily accommodate six people. We highly recommend this property to anyone wishing to have the luxury of their own home in a beautiful French village.

Our group of four spent five nights at Le Chevalier in early July, 2018. The property is a superb renovation of an older Burgundian house in the heart of Puligny-Montrachet. Its three floors of living space, along with a ground floor laundry room, are exactly as depicted in the photos and are expertly furnished and fully equipped. The main common areas, including living room, kitchen and terrace, are perfect for group relaxation and dining. Puligny-Montrachet is a charming wine village with its own one-star restaurant (Le Montrachet) and is also an ideal location for exploring nearby Cote de Beaune and Cote de Nuits attractions. The larger towns of Meursault, Chagny and Beaune are all short drives from the house. Rental management of Le Chevalier was very professional, easy to deal with and efficient regarding handling of all the details of our rental transaction.

“Le Chevalier, Puligny-Montrachet. Superb, 3 bdr/3bth, Village home, terrace”

We travel to Burgundy often and have been to Puligny Montrachet many times but have never stayed there. This is a property of great character on a main square in town. All the modern amenities with old world charm. We were there during the Christmas holiday to visit friends, so we could not enjoy the spacious and well equipped terrace just off the indoor dining area. This is a major plus for those visiting during better weather. The main living area is on the second level with an open plan living, dining and kitchen area which is perfect for entertaining or gathering together. The property is true to the pictures and very well equipped. Five stars for this fabulous getaway.

Fabulously restored home in beautiful village
My family and I stayed at Le Chevalier over the summer, and couldn’t recommend it highly enough. The house is beautifully restored, with all modern amenities, whilst maintaining many old features such as the timber beams and staircase. The kitchen is great, and well stocked, allowing us to have some memorable evenings in. The house is situated in a great village, with a fabulous patisserie just across the main square (perfect for a morning pain au chocolat!) We had our bikes with us, so we would cycle through vineyards and have lunch in the next village. All in all a wonderful holiday, and would highly recommend le Chevalier as a base for exploring the burgundy area!

This typical Burgundian house is part of a semi-detached house and is located in a central square in the quiet village of Puligny-Montrachet, where the baker is located, so that in the morning it takes only a few steps to the fresh baguette. It has been restored with a lot of style and taste and is as beautiful as functional (the three bathrooms to the three bedrooms are an aesthetic highlight).
Two bedrooms are located in the entry level, the third is in the attic and can be reached from the living room on the first floor via an open staircase.
The furnishing of the living room contains everything you could desire, and next, through the glass sliding doors you reach a balcony with (further) large table, umbrella and grill invites to eat outside. The basement level, accessible from the outside as well as from the inside, contains washing machine and dryer and offers storage space for example bikes brought along.
Su and David are uncomplicated, friendly and reliable and were immediately on the spot. We felt very comfortable and would always choose again.

Beautiful house in best location
This is the 2nd time we have stayed at Le Chevalier and it was just as pleasurable a stay as the first. This home is beautifully appointed with plenty of sunlight through out, lovely furnishings, very comfortable beds and and thoughtful attention to detail such as the Bose speaker for music and a lovely balcony, barbecue and outdoor setting for alfresco dining. Le Chevalier is also in a fantastic location right on the square in Puligny Montrachet only steps away from the Bakery, stores and lovely restaurants. Bicycles are available for vineyard rides and Meursault is only a 30 min walk away. We would highly recommend.

The perfect spot!
Our stay at 4 Rue de Monument, Puligny Montrachet was perfect. The house was fantastic and everything was just what we wanted and needed. Peaceful, restful, day excursions by car and lovely morning and evening walks thru the vineyards. Beautifully equipped house and great air conditioning. Would definitely return. Thank you for a lovely stay. Cheers Mel and friends from New Zealand.

Stayed here over Easter 2016. The house is brilliantly designed and provided great space for the 2 of us. The kitchen is really clean and has everything you need. On the few days we had sun (it was March) the little terrace was lovely to sit out on. The lounge area and TV are great and most evening we stayed in, despite there being a range of good to great restaurants in the village. Puligny is a great place for walking and we used the yellow marked trails to stroll to other villages such as Santenay, Meursualt and St Aubin. All the walks are beautiful and not too arduous.
Bedroom and bathrooms are beautifully finished and the view from the top floor master bedroom is great to wake up to. All the bedding and linens were beautifully clean and we both slept like logs during our stay. Can't recommend this house highly enough and we will back in the Summer!

My husband and 6 year old daughter stayed at Le Chevalier for a week and didn't want to leave! The house is beautifully appointed with lovely warm furnishings and a kitchen that is well equipped with everything you need to make exciting meals from the local produce whilst enjoying some lovely regional wines. Our daughter particularly enjoyed the large bath and the english speaking TV channels. The house has beautiful light without being too hot and a great balcony to relax and dine on. The weather while we were there was quite warm however the house had a lovely breeze throughout and for the really warm days we had air conditioning on two levels so were never too hot! Located in the centre of Puligny Montrachet on a village square the position of the house is fantastic, we had the local Boulangerie just a few doors away to pick up warm fresh croissants and baguettes in the morning. We also had some great restaurants within a minute or two walk from the front door. We will definitely stay there again on our next visit to Burgundy.

Our five days in Puligny-Montrachet have been amazing. We have eaten at great restaurants, tried exceptional wines, visited beautiful towns and cities, and loved staying at “Le Chevalier”. The house is a cut above the places we have rented in the past in just about every respect, the general look and feel of the place was a real treat for us (e.g., the high quality of the appliances/furniture, the beautiful bathrooms, the deck, the washer and dryer, the little extras you left us such as milk, water, cookies, chips, sparkling white wine that we consumed on arrival, etc…, the comfortable/very stylish living room and kitchen, etc…). We will surely be back.
Overall we have nothing but praise for the house and the compliment of equipment. Everything we could possibly want was present, just like being in our own home.
The welcoming pack with wine, milk, biscuits and especially the Nespresso pods was a great gesture. No doubt it is priced into the rental but it did make us feel special and enabled a quick start before visiting the supermarket. The property is finished to a high standard and that is exactly what the four of us search for when travelling.
The living area is very comfortable and well stocked with local tourist info and reference books – the Bose system was great to have too! The “house guide” was well researched and very useful.
Thank you for promptly attending to our issue with the freezer and for making restaurant bookings on our behalf.
The images on the internet do not do your home justice. It is beautiful, so well equipped, and such a great location. We will be back!
