The Petite Maison in Mersault was the perfect place for our first visit to Bourgogne. Tastefully decorated and well equipped, it was not only very comfortable, but also allowed us to make some of our own meals when we wished. It is virtually in the center of this most lovely wine village, with two boulongeries, a butcher/deli, and market nearby.
We walked to delightful little restaurants virtually next door to us and had excellent dinners, getting to know the friendly staff members and enjoying the warm ambiance that comes from feeling at home among friends.
We highly recommend both the Hotel Les Arts and the Hotel Du Center for their excellent cuisine, wine selection and service.
At night the quiet village was perfect for sleeping.
From our little home, it was an easy short drive to Beaune and other charming wine villages in the area.
Our hosts, Steve and Jill, made us feel welcome and always available to answer our questions.
If you are thinking of a stay in Burgundy, put the Petite Maison in Mersault at the top of your list.

The little house is in a wonderful location, a few steps from the centre of town. It is cosy and well furnished and everything is fresh and clean. There is a courtyard at the front of the house to sit in or have meals when the weather is nice. We had everything needed during our stay and the hosts, Steve and Jill, couldn't have been nicer. The communication was very easy and everything went smoothly. I highly recommend this house to anyone visiting Meursault

The cottage exceeded our expectations! Could not have been better located or more comfortable.
Really appreciate all Steve and Jill did before and during our stay to line us out on all the fun and amazing places to explore. Your hospitality will not be forgotten. We very much wish to come back soon. It appears we did not try and the wine yet!!!

Great hospitality, charming setting. Thank you for a thoughtful preparation - I loved the Cremant. Lots of good memories to take home with including a boot full of good wines.

What a lovely stay we had in la petite maison. We thought the cottage was beautiful: perfectly furnished, brilliantly and generously kitted out and extremely welcoming. We loved it. The location was fantastic too and we just wished we had a longer stay in Meursault! Thank you for accommodating us and many thanks to Steve as well for all the info and great comms.

This cozy cottage in the beautiful village of Meursault is the perfect base for exploring Burgundy. Easy access to so many quaint villages, great food and wine, and glorious countryside filled our days. Warm stone floors and comfy furnishings with a well equipped kitchen allowed us to kick back and relax after exploring the area. When you come, be sure to sample the fabulous prepared foods at Nouvelle Charcuterie de Bourgogne and do not forget to take home a beautifully wrapped gift from the lovely little gift shop in town . Loved our stay.

Beautiful cottage in a beautiful village
The perfect base for a stay in Burgundy - wonderful location in what must be the most beautiful village in Burgundy - and close to many wineries and other sights.

Excellent in every way. Thoroughly recommended.
Our stay at the Cottage at Meursault was outstanding. The accommodation is self-contained and because the cottage is so centrally located, we were able to stroll to the boulangerie for a breakfast baguette, feast on charcuterie at lunchtime and cook up a storm at night with the help of the local butcher’s excellent products. The kitchen is modern and compact and worked well for us. The room lay-out is simple with living and kitchen downstairs and bedroom and bathroom upstairs. A lot of thought has gone into the renovation with exposed beams and stonework which gives character to the interior. Although we were in the heart of Meursault, the cottage felt very private. It is set back from the road with a small courtyard in the front. It was also very quiet with no noise to disrupt or disturb guests. We found the cottage to be excellent value because of its convenience, comfort and style and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it.’

We had a wonderful stay in the beautiful village of Meursault, and enjoyed the place a lot
Nice renovation – nice ambience – we felt very welcome !
Just a perfect hideaway for a couple for a few days or weeks … and certainly will look again

Small but excellent cottage in the heart of Meursault
This was an ideal place to stay in the heart of Meursault, suited our requirements very well and was well equipped. We would recommend cycling along the Voie des Vignes, which we did first to Beaune, and then to Nolay.

We had a wonderful time in Mersault. It was rather wet and grey but did not detract from the simple pleasures of our daily croissant run, bike rides through the vineyards and paying homage to Bacchus. Our only regret was that we were unable to stay longer.
Thank you for making our stay possible at such short notice and arranging the pick up at Beaune Station. Much much appreciated.
We will be back

We had a fabulous stay at Le Petite Maison! The place was absolutely perfect - very clean, organized, warm, and cozy. Exactly what we were looking for! The owners also provided a book with TONS of restaurant, vineyard, and shop recommendations. They were great! Bruce was also fabulous and super responsive! We had a small question about how to turn on the TV, and within 30 minutes of sending an email, he was at the place to help us in person! He was extremely nice and welcoming. I highly recommend staying here! We hope to be back again!

What can I say about our stay...my dream of a cottage in France materialised as soon as we got there. The cottage, the village- everything was simply so perfect. My husband who has always seen my dream as simply that has now said...well perhaps!!
The cottage really does allow you to cook bountiful meals if you want and the village bistros are so close if you prefer. Every kitchen appliance needed was there. The bed was comfy and the shower was awesome.
Especially convenient was the washing machine. So often holiday lets don't have these and you spend time finding a laverie then sitting watching machines! Instead we put it in and went to dinner!
I really can only find fabulous things to say and thank you for providing such a wonderful gite and allowing us all to enjoy it and Meursault. I very much hope to be back there again in the near future.

A Wonderful Flat
We had a wonderful stay in la Petite Maison and would highly recommend it. Perfectly located in the tiny, quiet village of Meursault and an easy drive to all of the villages of Burgundy. Wonderfully appointed. Even a small problem with the flat was fixed immediately. Our stay was during the harvest which added so much to our time there. Thanks Bruce for sharing this lovely apartment. If there were six stars you would get it.

Cette petite maison est bien décorée, conforme à la description et située au centre du village de Meursault. Tout est prévu pour votre séjour. C'est très bien pour un séjour au coeur du vignoble de Bourgogne.
